ETON Properties Philippines of the Lucio Tan group continues to pour money into the city of Manila with the planned development of the “8 Adriatico” 40-story middle-income residential condominium near the city’s old tourist district.

The residential tower will have 888 units, which will be turned over to buyers starting Dec. 2013, Eton president Danilo Ignacio said Wednesday in a briefing.

This is the first of the four towers that will be built on an 8,000-square-meter lot owned by the Lucio Tan group. The property used to be the training site for pilots and other aircraft crew of flag carrier Philippine Airlines.

The construction of all four towers is expected to be completed in seven years, Ignacio said.

“The project addresses continuing demand by local buyers and overseas Filipinos for a strategically located Manila residence,” Ignacio said.

The project is at the corner of Adriatico and Padre Faura Streets and just beside Robinsons Place Manila. It is close to the UP School of Medicine and St. Paul’s University as well as government institutions like the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
